# Block a sender

> Stop mail from an unwanted email address by adding it to your Blocked Senders list, and choose what happens to their messages.

To stop all mail from one email address, add it to your **Blocked Senders** list in webmail. It sits on the same page as your trusted senders list, described in [Whitelist senders and domains](/whitelist/).

## Add addresses to Blocked Senders

1. [Log in to webmail](/log-in/), click **Settings**, then **Spam Filtering**.
2. Under **Blocked Senders**, choose a **Blocked Sender Action**:
   - **Move to Junk Email Folder** - keeps their mail, out of your **Inbox**
   - **Move To Deleted Items Folder** - sends it to the bin
   - **Delete** - removes it permanently
3. Click **Blocked Senders** and enter full email addresses, one per line, for example `sales@spammer.com`.
4. Click **OK**, then **Save**.

## Block a whole domain

The list does not accept a domain on its own. To block everyone at a company, create a content filter. Follow [Filter email by content](/content-filtering/), but at the conditions step choose **From specific domains** instead of the example shown there, and enter just the domain, for example `spammer.com`.

> **Tip**
> Webmail may also show a **Block Sender** action when you select a message. If you cannot find it, use the **Spam Filtering** steps above.

Spammers change addresses all the time, so blocking one address rarely stops junk mail. For general spam, see [Filter spam email](/filter-spam/). ## Common issues

### I blocked someone by mistake. How do I undo it?

Go to Settings > Spam Filtering, click Blocked Senders, delete their line, click OK, then Save.

### Mail from a blocked sender still shows up in Junk Email. Why?

That is what Move to Junk Email Folder does. To remove their mail completely, change Blocked Sender Action to Delete and click Save.

### Can I block a whole domain?

Not in Blocked Senders, which takes full email addresses. Use a content filter instead - see Block a whole domain on this page.
