As a domain admin, add the customer’s or supplier’s domain under Domain Settings > Spam Filtering > Trusted Domains, and mail from that domain skips spam checks for every mailbox in your company.

  1. Log in to webmail with your domain admin account and click Domain Settings in the top bar.
  2. In the left menu, click Spam Filtering.
  3. In the Trusted Senders card, click the pencil next to Trusted Domains and add the domain, for example supplier.com.my. To trust only one person, use the pencil next to Trusted Email Addresses instead.
  4. Click Save at the top of the page.

The card also shows this note: “Email addresses in your contacts are always considered trusted senders.”

  • Allow users to override spam settings (on by default) lets each staff member keep their own spam settings and trusted list. See Whitelist senders and domains.
  • Override spam settings lets you change what happens to mail at each spam level for the whole domain. By default, the Low, Medium and High Probability of Being Spam levels use Add Text to Subject with SPAM-LOW: , SPAM-MED: and SPAM-HIGH: . For the other actions, see Filter spam.

If a sender’s mail arrives but its logos and pictures are blank, that is a separate setting: see Why logos and pictures do not show.

Warning: trust only domains you know well. Mail from a trusted domain skips spam checks, so a fake email pretending to come from that domain can also get through.

Common issues

Do I need to add every contact to the trusted list?

No. The page itself says that email addresses in your contacts are always treated as trusted senders. Use the trusted list for people and companies who are not in your contacts.

Can staff still keep their own trusted list?

Yes, as long as Allow users to override spam settings is on. Each person can then add their own entries under their personal Spam Filtering settings. See Whitelist senders and domains.

Mail from a trusted domain still goes missing.

Check the spelling of the domain in Trusted Domains and click Save again. If the mail still does not arrive, follow Not receiving email.
